Styles and Designs

Traditional abayas are typically black, but contemporary designs feature a wide array of colors, patterns, and embellishments. 

• Open Abayas: These are front-open garments, ideal for layering over other outfits. They can be simple or feature details like decorative buttons or piping on the sleeves.
• Kaftan Abayas: Known for their loose, flowing silhouette, kaftan abayas are often made from light fabrics like crepe or georgette and offer excellent comfort.
• Butterfly Abayas: These feature a distinct flared and floral design, often reserved for formal occasions or parties.
• Shrug and Coat Abayas: These styles incorporate a shrug or a coat-like outer layer, sometimes as a two-piece set, for a modern, layered look.
• Jilbab: While the terms can overlap, a jilbab is generally a long, closed outer garment that covers the hair and body, often including an attached head covering or a high neck.
